There is a general understanding that traveling with children is a kind of test. And it is better to give up this idea until the children grow up or even better live their own life. Undoubtedly, a trip with children can hardly be considered as relaxation but it is surely an adventure that can be unforgettable experience in the best sense of the word.
So parents can and should travel with their kids. The main thing is to reduce the degree of expectation.
